Why blue eggs? 

The name, Blue Egg Baking Co., was inspired by the beautiful blue-green eggs of the Araucana chicken.  My friend, Martha, raises Araucanas and first showed me their eggs.  Another friend, Lauren, suggested it as the name. I agreed it was perfect:  a simple, whole food, beautiful and natural.


Martha felt honored & added that Araucana chickens also have green feet!

At Blue Egg, we care about what we eat and we care about the environment, so we use organic, all-natural and/or local ingredients.  We use recycled packaging printed with vegetable based inks and continue to research and learn how to treat our planet better.

There’s almost nothing better than the

healthful ingredients.

I fell in love with baking in my mom’s kitchen where she first baked for family and friends and later for our family’s restaurant. Our kitchen always smelled of cinnamon, chocolate, almond.


I started Blue Egg Baking Co. in 2007 to share my favorite recipes, many of which are my mom’s....with a twist.  Whole wheat flour replaces white, pea fiber is added where ever possible, and grated veggies have made their way into cupcakes.
